Help to Save the Pollinators!
Join the Green Valley Project in restoring pollinator habitat in the Ojai Valley.
Why Save the Pollinators?
In 2021, the population of migrating western monarchs had declined by 99.9% since the 1980s. The western monarch butterfly is nearly extinct due to a decrease in habitat, pesticides, and global climate change. We can make a real difference for the monarchs as a community.
Our goal is to plant 100 pollinator gardens throughout our community to create a pollinator corridor which bees, butterflies, birds and other pollinators will have a shorter distance to fly when looking for food, shade, and shelter. We are already halfway there! Help us to add to our existing pollinator corridor by buying a plant kit, sharing with your friends and neighbors, and following us at @greenvalleyprojectojai on instagram!
How to participate?
For a $70, you can a pollinator kits that was designed by the Green Valley Project Youth Council for a successful pollinator habitat.
