General information:

Chaparral clematis is a vine and perennial herb type plant, and it is found in the Pacific coast of North America. Its range is from San Francisco to Baja California, and then extends into the Sierra Nevada mountain range. It grows on hillsides, chaparral, and in open woodland.

Appearance:

It has three lobed leaves, and typically grows in 3-5 leaflets. It has creamy white flowers with hints of yellow in the middle.

Chaparral clematis grows both at a slow to a fast rate. It is a summer semi-deciduous plant, and its flowering season is in Spring and Summer.

Chaparral clematis is a full sun, partial sun, and deep shade plant. It requires low water needs, and requires 2 times a month summer irrigation. It is easy to care for, and can tolerate various types of soil drainage. It prefers clay and sand soils, and requires a soil p.H. level of 5.4-7.2.
