Video: GVP Launch Event 12/5/2020

While our whole Communications Team internship was done over Zoom, we did want to come together in person (safely masked and socially distanced, of course) to celebrate and show off the work we did in launching the Green Valley Project.

The video above is our way of bringing the audience “into” our launch event. Hit play and come join us as we begin our restoration work in the Ojai Valley!

In addition to debuting our name, our new logo and our mission, the Green Valley Project Communications Team had the opportunity to bring together representatives from the organizations who partnered with The C.R.E.W. to create this new initiative: Ojai Valley Land Conservancy, Once Upon a Watershed, Pax Environmental and Watershed Progressive. We got the initiative off to a running start, planting native oak circles at the Ojai Meadows Preserve, which will be one of our main restoration sites.

We’ve spent the last few months discussing the importance of creating a greener future for our community, and one of the dreams that we all share is that we’ll someday get to sit in the shade of the oaks that we’re planting right now. Until then, we’re excited to know that these native trees and plants will be providing food and habitat for the birds and critters that call Ojai home!
