Why You Should Volunteer
The Green Valley Project provides many volunteering opportunities such as the planting and the advocacy for the Ojai community’s valuable oak trees. Contributing to GVP gives volunteers the chance to learn more about Ojai’s environment and gain a new experience. By volunteering, you are able to come together in unity with like minded individuals and get some good, clean dirt on your hands! Make a positive impact on the environment and create a greener Ojai.
Check out our upcoming events! The calendar on the Green Valley Project website pulls up many events our youth council and youth communications internship helps direct with the Green Valley Project. One of our upcoming events on October 9th from 8:00 am to 10:00 am is Besant Hill Planting Day. This event is helping the private school Besant Hill plant native oak trees at their school. If you are interested in joining click here to sign up. Also, happening in the month of October is Re Oak Ojai Tree Planting Day on the 23rd at 8:30 am. This event helps plant oak trees around the community of Ojai, contributing to our Re Oak Ojai project. If you are interested in joining click here to sign up. All these events in October always invite and encourage volunteers to work alongside the Green Valley Project and start planting to help Re-Oak Ojai!
